Selling a house during a divorce
When a marriage ends, the house is usually the biggest thing left to divide. A direct sale gives both of you one clear number and a closing date.
One number, no back-and-forth
A listing means months of showings, price cuts, repair requests and decisions you have to make together. A direct sale replaces all of that with a single written offer. Both owners can see the same number and the same math, and we send it to both of you, or to both attorneys.
Working with your attorneys or mediator
If you have a court order or settlement terms about the house, we will follow them. Closing goes through a neutral title company, which pays out the proceeds the way your agreement says. We aren't attorneys and don't advise either side.
If one of you has moved out
That's common. We can schedule the walkthrough with whichever owner is living there, and both owners sign at closing, in person or by mail with a mobile notary.
Questions people ask
Do both spouses have to agree to sell?
If both are on title, both need to sign. Your attorneys or a court order decide the rest.
Who gets the money?
The title company pays the proceeds out the way your agreement or court order says.
Can we sign separately?
Yes. Each owner can sign at a different time, in person or with a mobile notary.
